Backpack Buddies
Our Backpack Buddies program sponsors approximately 15 children in local schools who need access to food during the weekend. Bags are packed weekly and provide items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack. The bags are delivered to the school office and then distributed through the school. Volunteers are needed to help pack and deliver the bags.

Community Involvement
Located in the heart of Hampton, we strive to bring the love of Jesus to our neighbors. Many of our activities reach out to youth and children including our annual Trunk or Treat and Easter Egg Hunt.

Food Pantry
The Hampton UMC Food Pantry is available each Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. There is a simple sign up for assistance and no ID is required. For more information, call the church office.

Free Little Library
Our Free Little Library was established in 2020 and provides books and resources for our community from the youngest to the oldest reader. Volunteers help keep the library stocked with books and materials that inform and entertain so the community has viable access to materials which help improve literacy and foster a love of reading.

Hinton Woodchuck Team
How much wood can a woodchuck chuck? Well, join our Hinton Woodchuck Team to find out! This ministry helps chop, split, and stack wood for families in the southern Appalachia area of GA and NC. Twice a year a team of adults have a weekend of fun, fellowship, and service at the Hinton Rural Life Center in Hayesville, NC.

Paint Henry Blue
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the “Paint Henry Blue” campaign is a county-wide, month-long initiative to bring awareness and prevention of child abuse to make a positive difference in our community. We support the event with blue ribbons and pinwheels and through activities with our preschool program.

Hampton United Methodist Preschool has provided over 60 years of educational excellence in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. Our goal is to instill in our children the love of learning and the love of Christ.

UMCOR
UMCOR is a Global Relief Ministry of the United Methodist Church which serves others in times of crisis and need. 100% of UMCOR donations support programming through sponsoring volunteers who serve and/or to help purchase supplies that help rebuild devastated communities. We also have opportunities to complete aid kits such as flood buckets, personal hygiene kits, and school supply kits.

Veteran Flag Corp
Our Veteran Flag Corp helps honor HUMC members and/or family members who have served in our Armed Forces. Flags are flown for Memorial Day and Veterans Day on our church campus. Volunteers are needed to help setup, take down, and store the flags for these events.
